UID Suppliers Alliance • ExpandedLegislative briefings on Capitol Hill with over 100 senior Senate/House staff members as well as staff on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform • Submitted legislative reporting language for FY10 appropriations budget that was included in the House Defense Authorization Bill. • Received bi-partisan House support of a letter to Secretary of Defense Panetta and Peter Orszag, OMB (Office of Management and Budget) requesting increased funding to ensure improved adoption of UID within the DoD. • Achieved joint Senate sponsorship of a letter to Ashton Carter, Under Secretary of Defense for AT&L, requesting stronger enforcement and more resources to fully implement the IUID initiative.
