F1 Cars These have a low centre of mass making them very hard to topple over. This is because the car body is extremely low to the floor making the heaviest parts of the car close to the ground and reducing chance of them toppling, this is important in a race because if the car flipped that would probably mean they lose the race. Also the main bode of the car is built in the middle making the centre of mass as close to the driver of the car as possible. All of these make the F1 car very stable and it would be very unlikely for this to flip over.
Cranes Cranes have a very high centre of mass and this makes them very likely to fall over, this means that to stop and accidents they would have to find a way to make the care more stable. This was done by making the crane have a large base to increases stability. There is also a large weight acting from the arm extending out, this weight is counter balanced by the weights on the other side of the crane. All of these make the crane stable and therefor decreasing the risk of falling over.
