Section 2: Membership Status • (a) A member shall be considered in good standing if they have completed their assigned shift(s) with 3 or fewer unexcused absences per shift. • (b) A member may also be considered in good standing if they regularly attend and contribute during development meetings. • (c) A member shall be considered delinquent if they do not meet the criteria set forth in Article III, Section 2(a) and/or 2(b). • (d) A delinquent member shall lose voting privileges, right to hold a leadership position, and right to claim membership for that semester. However, the student is still able to participate in OWL activities. Constitution Rules
Section 6: Attendance • (a) Attendance at member’s assigned Shift(s) is expected throughout the semester. Should a member be absent more than three times from their assigned shift, they will no longer be able to claim membership in OWL for the semester. • (b) Shift Leaders will take roll at each of their Shifts. The Shift Leader is responsible for properly filing the attendance sheet, but ultimately each member must ensure that the Shift Leader has properly filed the attendance sheet. • (c) For any reason, should an attendance sheet not be filed properly at the conclusion of a Shift, the members of that shift will be considered absent. • (d) Absences can only be excused in cases of emergency, such as a verified medical or family emergency and academic obligations.
