The Kings Daughters The Filles du Roi, or Kings Daughters, were the young woman who arrived in the small outpost of New France between 1663 and 1673; under the financial sponsorship of King Louis XIV. The woman came to New France for a better life. Emma
Rylee Orphans Many were orphans, recruited from larger cities, But most had few other options.
Allisa The Woman of Filles du Roi There were thirty-six woman in the group the Filles du Roi all of the woman looking for a husband.
Rylee The Woman The woman went to New France because they were looking to find A husband and to repopulate.
Emma Contribution The thirty-six girls contributed to New France by increasing The population.
Allisa The Challenges -The woman had to sail for three days on a tiny canoe with thirty-six people with hardly any food.
Emma What did the Woman Leave Behind? When the woman of the Filles du Roi sailed to New France, they left behind their mother’s, siblings, father’s, friends, and other unlisted relatives.
