The beginning of adventure, where the hero (who is attractive) is called to face the unknown and gain something. The Call
the “jumping off point” for the journey, where the hero enters the unknown. There are often threshold guardians that have two functions: Protect the hero, and be a helper/mentor. The mentor keeps the hero focused, and offers guidance. The Threshold
The journey to the unknown is filled with a series of challenges or temptations. The hero builds maturity, skill and confidence. The challenges become more difficult each time. The Challenges
When the hero faces his greatest fear or most difficult trial. He must face this trial alone. The Abyss
After the abyss has been concquered, the hero has overcome their fears, made the right decisions, and completed their transformation into a better person. The Transformation
The hero returns to everyday life and usually discovers their gift – maybe wealth, strength, wisdom, a strong leader etc. The Return
Is attractive • Admirable traits/good character • Loves adventure • Does things for the good of others • Good role model • Is strong of mind and body and makes the morally correct choice QUALITIES OF A HERO
