MLA Contribution • Youngest and smallest mainland Parliament • • MLAs actively involved in all aspects of Education Program • Debates, Constitutional Convention, School Visits, Community Programs • Strong commitment is characterised by robust discussion and Q&A sessions with students – major part of every aspect of the Education Program
Adult Migrant Education Program • Welcome to new citizens – Speakers Citizenship Evenings • • Work experience program as part of Employment Pathways and Traineeship in English and Work Readiness program offered in the TAFE sector • Understanding democracy and the ACT electoral system through Mock elections and development of ESL Civics materials • Tailored role plays and visits to the Chamber to supplement settlement/civics component of their English language course
