Why Should You Do It? • Successful completion of the assessment will generate a report that will provide you with important information about your personal characteristics. • You will learn about careers that are matched to you, your personal strengths and blind spots, how you negotiate in your daily life, and a host of other useful information.
Learning Objectives • You will identify your strengths and blind spots while completing the Do What You Are assessment • Identify at least three careers that interest you based on your personality interest results • Identify at least three colleges that offer majors related to potential career choices based on your results
Do What You Are • It will take you about 30-40 minutes to complete the assessment • There is a Self Discovery Assessment section and a Career Interest Survey section • There are four parts to the Self Discovery Assessment • The Career Interest Survey will ask your level of interest in a variety of career groupings

Getting Started • Log into Naviance using your username and password • www.connection.naviance.com/simon • Use the step-by-step instructions to find DWYA (Steps 1&2 on your handout) • Use the vocabulary lists if you are unsure what a word means
Day 2Learning Objective • You will identify your strengths and blind spots while completing the Do What You Are assessment • Interests and skills change during the course of a person's life, the one thing that does remain constant is an individual's Personality Type • If you understand the role Personality Type plays, you can gain important insights into educational, career, and relationship needs
