Guiding Light. Matthews 5:16. LET YOUR LIGHT so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. “Guiding” means. One who shows the way by leading, directing, and/or advising. One who serves as a model for others, as in a course of conduct.

  2. Matthews 5:16 • LET YOUR LIGHT so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

  3. “Guiding” means • One who shows the way by leading, directing, and/or advising. • One who serves as a model for others, as in a course of conduct.

  4. “Light” means • Spiritual awareness; illumination • Lu 24:31 • And their EYES WERE OPENED, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

  5. “Guiding Light” means • One who serves as a model for others by leading, directing, and/or advising for Spiritual awareness and illumination of God’s word and God’s love. • A “Saint”

  7. What do people see when they see you? • Smiling Christian Face Approachable

  8. II Corinthians 3:2 • Ye are our EPISTLE written in our hearts, known and read of all men • Epistle: A letter, especially a formal one

  9. Matthew 5:14 • Ye are the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. • Jesus: • John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. • John 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the LIGHT OF THE WORLD.

  10. I Timothy 4:12 • Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an EXAMPLE of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity • Example of the believers (they are looking at YOU!) • Walk • Talk • Appearance (Head to Toe)
