Achievements: Membership • Current membership: 261 individuals • Largest category of membership is small organisational level (23 organisations comprising 84 named individuals) • Large number of complimentary memberships due to LWT hosting relationship • Some churn inevitable in such a mobile sector; • Strong retention rates; • More to be done in reaching out to new members
Achievements: Events • 10 training events • 6 networking events • 2 Fellowship evenings • 288 participants
Other achievements • Empty Classroom Day successfully passed on to national organisation capable of taking to next level • Status of the profession research circulated to members; next stage of project defined and underway. NB Opportunity to get involved: sign up now! • Regular communications maintained (from Co-ordinator, between members and with wider public) • Massive increase in use of social media such as Twitter to promote LEEF and events of members
LEEF Finances April 2015-Mar 2016: Summary • Opening balance: £7384 (£1410 restricted; £5974 unrestricted) • Income: £27,845 (£22,478 restricted; £5367 unrestricted) • Expenditure: £21,572 • Net income/expenditure: £6273 • Closing balance: £13,658 (£7455 restricted; £6202 unrestricted)
Future challenges • Funding! • Two pending applications • Raft of other possible funders (once we have registered charity number) • Underspend from current grant used to extend Co-ordinator contract until end November • Planning post-November
