Mentees • Student or recent graduate • Member of AKHIMA and AHIMA • Professional conduct • 1 year commitment • Complete evaluation • Monitor AKHIMA CoP
Mentors • Must be a member of AKHIMA and AHIMA • Guide by word and example • Commit to 12 months of mentorship • Check with mentee monthly • Complete documentation
Mission Statement The Alaska HIM “You’re Not Alone” Mentoring Program promotes professional relationships between mentors and mentees in the field of Health Information Management. The mentor is a professional who is willing to teach, guide, share and serve as a resource to the mentee.
