Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Creating a new Quote This is the first screen you see when you log in for the first time, before you create quotes. There are 2 ways to create a new quote.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Opening Existing Quotes Once you have created quotes, they will be listed on the opening screen. There are 2 ways to open a quote. Use File, Open; or, highlight quote in list and click on Open Quote.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:What Quotes Do You Want to See? What’s this? If there is more than one user at your organization, and you have the right to see quotes created by others (ask your Program Administrator for that ability), if this box is checked, you will see their quotes.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Client Information Screen Use Next to move to the next screen. Company Name is the only required field because that is how quotes are stored. The rest is optional.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Quote Information Screen IMPORTANT E!Z Work Comp Rater rests on a dynamic database with rates going back at least one year and forward 1 to 3 months. Be SURE you select the quote start and end dates you WANT.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Carrier Select Screen E!Z Work Comp Rater includes all carriers that write $500K or more in annual premium*. Double-click or use arrows to select, deselect or clear. Sort by carrier name or group name. * Plus whatever carriers our users request
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:My Carriers List What’s this? If there are carriers you want to quote often, select them into the right-hand box, and click Save. After that, click on Select to have that list appear, then edit from there.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Tier/Deviation Pop-Up What’s this? When you point your cursor toward a carrier, the tier assignment and manual rate deviation from base rates appears in a pop-up box.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Find Function What’s this? To find a carrier, click on Find Carrier and start typing. A drop down box containing the letters you type will appear. You can select from that list. There is an analogous function on the Class Code screen.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Class Code Select Screen E!Z Work Comp Rater includes all class codes in use in the state, including special codes and subclasses. Special Codes and subclasses have an * in front of them and in the default sort are toward the bottom of the selection box. Sort by code name or number.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Location Screen Required fields here are City, State, and Zip code. You can enter up to three locations.* IMPORTANT! CA Users: This information is essential for territorial rating and must be accurate. * These will populate the Acord Form.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Payroll Screen Enter payroll for each class code. If there is more than 1 location you will enter payroll for each code in each location.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Go To Function What’s this? Use the Go To Function to navigate through the program. Once you have completed the Payroll screen, you will see all the adjustments offered by the carriers you have selected.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Detour to Menu at Top When you are in a Quote, two more tools appear in Misc. Info. Rates by Carrier show manual rates for each code and carrier in the quote. Net Rates by Carrier show the manual rate after all adjustments for each code and carrier in the quote.

Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Increased Limits If the policy includes Increased Limits of Liability, select them here. Valuable Information here: Carriers vary in what they charge for the same combination of increased limits. You can’t assume all carriers are alike.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Increased Limits • Two New Things Start Here: • From now on, Next takes you to the same adjustment screen for each carrier you select. If you don’t want to make the adjustment, use Go To to skip to where you want to go. • Once you select for the first carrier, you will be asked if you want the same selection for all the carriers (i.e., set globally). If you do, say yes and use Go To. What’s this?
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Experience Modification Factors Set the Experience Mod here. Outside of MI: Accept Global Values option. NOTE: MI Users, you can set different mods for different carriers.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Jump to Reports Once the experience modification factor is entered, it is a good time to compare premium across your carriers. Use Go To to jump to Quote Reports.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Quote Report/Acord Forms Screen E!Z Work Comp Rater lets you choose from 4 styles of Quote Reports. You can also open an interactive Acord form that includes the information you entered with E!Z Work Comp Rater and lets you add additional information needed to submit a quote.

Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:All Carriers with Detail See detailed premium calculation. Choose between sorting alphabetically by carrier or premium size.

Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Credit & Surcharges E!Z Work Comp Rater includes all the credits and surcharges offered by all the carriers you have selected for your quote. You can jump to any adjustment you want to apply. Then use Next to page through the carriers that offer it. IMPORTANT: You will only be shown adjustments the particular carriers offer. If you don’t see an adjustment for a particular carrier, that carrier doesn’t offer it.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Credit & Surcharges You also will see the % affect on premium on each adjustment screen. This also will appear in the Quote Reports. Example here: The State Fund offers a 10% under its “Claims Free” program. Take a look at each of the credits/surcharges in E!Z Work Comp Rater to see what is available.
Quote Building with E!Z Work Comp Rater:Schedule Rating You can set schedule credits or debits in E!Z Work Comp Rater on this screen. Example: For a 10% schedule credit, enter .9. For a 10% schedule debit, enter 1.1.* See Strategic Uses for the best way to use Schedule Rating. * E!Z Work Comp Rater will tell you if you have entered a credit/debit outside of the carrier range.
