Jesus, joy of man’s desiring,Holy wisdom, love most bright;Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiringSoar to uncreated light. Word of God, our flesh that fashioned,With the fire of life impassioned,Striving still to truth unknown,Soaring, dying round Thy throne.
Our Father Which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, for Thine is the Kingdom and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
Luke 2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyreniuswas governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Away in a manger,No crib for His bed,The little Lord JesusLaid down His sweet head; The stars in the heavensLooked down where He lay,The little Lord JesusAsleep on the hay. The cattle are lowing,The poor Baby wakes,But little Lord Jesus,No crying He makes.I love Thee, Lord Jesus;Look down from the skyAnd stay by my cradleTill morning is nigh.
Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
Angels We Have Heard On High Angels we have heard on high, Sweetly singing o’er the plains, And the mountains in reply Echo back their joyous strains. Gloria in excelsisDeo, Gloria in excelsisDeo. Come to Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing; Come, adore on bended knee Christ the Lord, the newborn King! Gloria in excelsisDeo, Gloria in excelsisDeo.
The angels came down from Heaven shepherds, shepherds, so that you would go to Bethlehem quickly, quickly. The Son of God Who was born in a manger, a manger, He will be your Savior truly, truly.
His mother watches over him, Mary, Mary; As He lies in the hay, resting in the manger, her holy Son, holy Son. They go to greet Him straightaway, straightaway. Withintheir hearts they bring beautiful gifts, To give away, give away. Let us all worship the child Jesus together, worship Him, worship Him. Holy Christmas Night Szent karácsony éjjel Oh, wond’rous night full of mystery A child witheyes blue as the sky, He is as small as a roseleaf, The sweet Lord is born as a baby, He is sleeping in the manger On the holy night of Christmas.
Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King: Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinner reconciled” Joyful, all ye nations, rise, Join the triumph of the skies; With the angelic host proclaim, Christ is born in Bethlehem!” Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.” Christ, by highest heaven adored; Christ, the Everlasting Lord! Late in time behold Him come, Offspring of the Virgin’s womb; Veiled in flesh the Godhead see; Hail the Incarnate Deity, Pleased as man with men to dwell, Jesus, our Emmanuel. Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”
Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace! Hail the Sun of Righteousness! Light and life to all he brings, Risen with healing in his wings. Mild He lays His glory by, Born that man no more may die, Born to raise the sons of earth, Born to give them second birth. Hark! The herald angels sing, “Glory to the newborn King.”
15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.
I wish I could have seen the star of Bethlehem and present gold, frankincense and myrrh before my Lord. Don't you wish you could have been there, among the host of wise men? Oh, have you ever asked, “My Jesus, come and dwell in my heart today!” I wish I could have gone to the manger to share the joy of my heart with the Messiah.
I wish I could have given him kisses of welcome and greet the mighty Savior with gratefulness. Such sacred sacrifices are like precious stones, They can shine just like the star Bethlehem. Oh, have you ever asked, “My Jesus, come and dwell in my heart today!”
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
O shepherd, what do I see? Listen, the angels of God are singing in the sky. One of them shines brightly, he stands among the rest of them like a sun in the sky. The angel choir proclaims joy and goodness, that God was born today as a child.
In a little manger in a stall, among the animals, you will see Him in a manger in swaddling clothes. Come, shepherd, come, leave your guarding place, and see the sleeping holy child. They reverence and worship Christ. This is how we saw the Savior together. Well, shepherd, you saw the great and holy miracle, Go, let everyone hear and pass on the news.

Hasten then, hasten to Bethlehem’s stall,There to see heaven descend to us all. With holy feeling, there humbly kneeling,We will adore Him, bow down before Him,Worship the King. Angels and shepherds together we goSeeking the Savior from all earthly woe; While angels, winging, His praise are singing, Heaven’s echoes ringing, peace on earth bringing,Good will to men. Jöjjetek, emberek, jöjj, pásztornép, Nézzétek, mily kedves gyermek, Mily szép! Úr Jézus Kristus ma megzsületett, Az Isten üdve lett a tietek. Ne féjetek! Betlehem földjén sok pásztor közöt Angyalzsó hirdet ma nagy örömöt: A földön béke az embereknek, A mennyben dicsőségIstenünknek Áldott az Úr!
18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.
Shepherds Watch Their Flocks by night When heaven's light shines forth, Fulfilling the ancient prochecies By breaking nights’despair Clothed in flesh our Savior came To the world as a humble babe. Led by the light of faith serenely beaming, With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand. O'er the world a star is sweetly gleaming, Now come the wisemen from out of the Orient land. The King of kings lay thus lowly manger; In all our trials born to be our friends. He knows our need, our weakness is no stranger, Behold your King! Before him lowly bend! Behold your King! Before him lowly bend!
20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.
John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 15 …whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
