PUBLIC RELATIONS • Simply means, “ taking care of our relationships” with each other (members), the general public, law enforcement, and addiction professionals.

GETTING STARTED • Clarify what services NA can and cannot provide • Make NA members more aware of their role in NA’s public image • Remembering our goal is to have the public recognize us as a positive and reliable organization • Develop valuable relationships with professionals and the general public
THE BASICS • When a member gets a request for info, member then passes request onto the PR Committee. • There is a role for every member: input, suggestions, feedback and participation are all needed and valued. • PLANNING IS KEY • Inventory Current Services, Consider Needs of Community, Prioritize, Resources and Take Action, Repeat • ASC / RSC SUPPORT • PLANNING TOOL • Groups, Areas and Regions
