2013 Training • 2 engineers working in LLR and Bari • Basic grid installation • EMI middleware Installation: EMI3 and EPEL,SL6 • YAIM configuration for UI, WN, CREAM, BDII-top, BDII-site, SE_HEAD, SE_DISK • Site Monitoring • Very productive and passed good.
Minimal GRID Site wn NFS /vohomes wn SE_disk wn CE NFS server Improve LRMS stability SE_head (mysql) SiteBDII
Training in LLR • 2 engineers from ASRT work at LLR in Mars – April (additional points on grid and cloud) • In general going will but we have some issue • Certificates problem • LLR starting to move the grid machines to new computing room and run in reduces configuration • LAL also move machines to new building, now access to the Cloud resources • Ne tested installation on DPM and XRD, fix some issues with CE and WN • Mohamed started to for with YAIM playbook (tool for automatic installation of grid machines)
Site at ASRT • The big success of WP3 • We Have first WLCG site installed and registered in GOCDB. • Good work of engineers from ASRT • Now we very close to start installation on other site and add special monitoring and grid submission tools • Basic grid training can be done in Egypt
CMS Tier-N centres • Analyses, MC production, user support • Utilisation local + Common • Nominal T2 : CPU: 0.9MSI2K, Disques: 0.2Po, WAN:>1Gbps
WLCG working group • Good work of engineers from ASRT • We need to create Egyptian WLCG working group with physicists and engineers working on the Grid • Provide requirements to the engineers : cpu, disk, physics channels data for transfers to the site • Communicate with WLCG and CERN experiments • accelerate grid installations • Teaching of young physicians in specific analysis tools
