  17. TheImpact

  18. More than loss of area is involved • The richest portion of UF's finest upland preservation area will be destroyed.

  19. Four of the forty-nine trees in the right-of-way that are 18 inches or more in diameter 23- and 25-inch DBHlive oaks 24-inch DBHlongleaf pine 29-inch DBHhickory

  20. More than loss of area is involved • The richest portion of UF's finest upland preservation area will be destroyed. • 48 acres of wildlife habitat will be fragmented • Wildlife will need to cross 24th Ave. to reach permanent water

  21. More than loss of area is involved • NATL, a valuable, irreplaceable academic resource, will be irreversibly degraded by being made less diverse, less secure, and much noisier. --And all for a road that is in the traffic plan only because it will help double the retail space in the Butler Plaza area.

  22. “In the end, our society will be defined not onlyby what we create, but what we refuse to destroy.” John Sawhill More at: http://natl.ifas.ufl.edu/
