  2. The road will traverse a recharge area • Most of the proposed roadway East of 34th Street is through a “closed basin” that has no surface outlet. • The paved 24th Avenue extension will significantly reduce the area where storm water now collects and eventually seeps into the ground.

  9. Sinkhole Pond… Moderate rainfall

  10. Flooding from Sinkhole Pond after heavy rainfall

  11. CLOSED BASIN... Any runoff within proposed right of way will have to be stored in a retention basin until the water volume infiltrates into the ground or is lost to evapotranspiration.

  12. In addition to the roadway... retention ponds may be necessary within the NATL 25 year storm 100 year storm 5 year storm 1 year storm

  13. In closed basins water quality entering the Floridan Aquifer is a concern...
