Preparing to use Intel’s online reporting tool • Prior to logging into the reporting tool, you must have an ID and password to access Intel’s Supplier Presence Site (SPS). • You only need to register for an SPS account once. • If you have a current SPS account, you will only need to request access to the Second Tier tool. • If you do not have a SPS account, go to http://supplier2.intel.com and select the Registration link in the left navigation menu. While you are registering for an SPS account, you can also request access to the Second Tier tool. • It is important to remember your SPS login ID and password. This is the same login you will use to semi-annually access Intel’s Second Tier Reporting Tool. • Since SPS accounts issued and tracked by individual user there may be several accounts for one supplier. For these reporting purposes, the person requesting the account should be the primary individual responsible for providing diversity spends data.
Selecting the Registration link from SPS home will bring you to this page. • If this is a new SPS account, select the first option, Register as a new user and follow registration instructions. • If you have an existing SPS login, select the second option, Manage your existing account and proceed to enter ID and password.
For new SPS accounts only: This screen explains the SPS Registration process. Read the information and select the Request a new account link near the bottom of the page.
For existing SPS accounts only: To obtain access to the Second Tier reporting tool, review this information and select the first option, Request a new account.
Scroll through the list of available applications till you see Second Tier Reporting, then click on the box to the left to select this tool. • Then click Submit.
Next you will see the Registration Confirmation screen indicating your request is being processed. • You may now exit the SPS site until your request has been approved via email (within 24-48hrs). • if your email address is already associated with an existing SPS account, you will be notified at this time.
Accessing the Second Tier Tool • You will be prompted via email 4 to 6 weeks prior to the second tier spends data reporting deadline • January 1 through June 30, report by February 1 • July 1 through December 31, report by August 1 • The following url will be included in the email. http://supplier2.intel.com/stt/. Click on it to take you to the Second Tier tool: • Next, click on Enter Second Tier Tool
This screen prompts you to enter your SPS login ID and password (which you specified when registering for your SPS account). • Enter your correct information and click Submit to access the Second Tier Reporting Tool. Please be patient as the application may take 30 to 45 seconds to initially load.
Reporting Methods • The system will automatically route you to the correct reporting screen upon login. • If you are uncertain which method your company uses, login and follow the instructions applying to your reporting screen. • Indirect method reporting • Review slides 15 – 22, then skip to slide 31 to continue tutorial • Direct method reporting • Proceed to slide 23 to continue tutorial
Indirect Reporting Method • If you are reporting via the Direct Reporting Method, go to slide 23 to continue this tutorial. • After login you will be directed to the Report Screen. • Your supplier number, company name, and your email address should appear at the top of the page.
Begin by selecting the year and time period for which you will be reporting data. • Example: Reporting for Jan-Jun ’04, select First Half and 2004
Enter your company’s Total sales/revenue for the reporting period in the first data field. • Round to the nearest dollar, and do not use commas or decimals.
Enter your company’s sales only to Intel for the reporting period into the second data field.
Next enter your company’s Total Purchases with Under-Represented Suppliers for the reporting period into data field 4. • You do not have to enter data in fields 3, 5, or 6. The application will automatically calculate and populate these data points for you. • Click on the above Under-Represented Business hyperlink to view a list of qualifying diversity classifications and associated definitions.
After entering data into fields 1, 2 & 4 on the report screen, click on the Calculate button to the lower left • The application will automatically calculate and populate fields 3, 5, & 6 for you.
Now review your data to confirm information entered is correct. (If incorrect, re-enter appropriate data fields and repeat process.) • If correct, click on Submit Data at the bottom of the screen.
If your data was entered in the correct format (no commas, decimals, percentages or fractions), it will be successfully uploaded to our database, and you will be routed to this Confirmation screen. • Email confirmation of your upload will also follow immediately after you have submitted your data via the report tool. • You may now exit the application.
Direct Reporting Method • If you are reporting via the Indirect Reporting Method, go to slide 30 to continue this tutorial. • After login you will be directed to the Report Screen. • Your supplier number, company name, and your email address should appear at the top of the page.
Begin by selecting the year and time period for which you will be reporting data. • Example: Reporting for Jan-Jun ’04, select First Half and 2004
You may have information for one or multiple sites. In the left column enter the Total sales/revenue received from the specified Intel site(s). • if you cannot associate revenue or spends with a specific site, please refer to slide 26 for instruction on how to proceed.
In the right column, enter the Total Dollars spent with Under-Represented Businesses from the site or project. • Click on the above Under-Represented Business hyperlink to view a list of qualifying diversity classifications and associated definitions.
If you are reporting via the Direct Method, yet cannot associate revenue or spends to a specific site, simply utilize line 10, Other to capture the Total Revenue from Intel and Total Under-Represented Business spend on Intel’s behalf. • Or, if you have multiple projects with Intel also not associated by site, the Other fields should reflect cumulative revenue and spends for all of these Intel projects.
After you have completed data fields 1 through 10, no additional entry is required. • Click the Calculate button at the lower left and the application will automatically calculate and populate fields 11 through 14.
Now review your data to confirm information entered is correct.(If incorrect, re-enter appropriate data fields and repeat process.) • If correct, click on Submit Data at the bottom of the screen.

Viewing Historical Data • If you wish to view your previously entered data, click the View History button within the report screen. • The application will generate a historical spends report for your company.
Tips and Hints • If you have completed entering your information and are having difficulty submitting data, it is possible your login has timed out. Please login again. • If you receive an error message or are unable to submit data the first time, try closing your browser and logging into the tool again to submit. • When logging on to the Second Tier Reporting Tool, please be patient as the application may take 30 to 45 seconds to initially load.
