“ Job ” • A profession or occupation E.g.She has a job as a waitress A lots of people will lose their jobs if the company closes. • A task or a piece of work E.g.The garage has done a bad job on our car. I always have a lots of jobs to do in the house at weekend. • A duty or responsibility E.g.It is not his job to tell us what we can and can't do.
“Work” • The place where you do your job E.g. I’ll ask if I can leave work early tonight. • Sth that requires physical or mental effort that you do to achieve sth E.g. Her success is due to sheer hard work. • Something that you are working on or have produced. E.g. Is this all your own work? E.g. The teacher marks their work.

To provide a service E.g. Do you do eye tests here? • To study sth or find the answer to sth. E.g. I can’t do the answer 3. • To travel a certain distance or at a certain speed. E.g. I normally do about 5 miles when I go running • To have a particular effect. E.g. The storm did a lot of damage
“Make” • To produce or create sth E.g. This model is made of steel. • (used with nouns) to perform a certain action. E.g. to make a hole to make a movie to make progress • To cause a particular feeling. E.g. The film makes me cry.
To force sb/sth to do sth E.g. You can not make her come with us if she does not want. • Used with money, number and time. E.g. to make a lot of money • To make sb/sth become sth; to have the right qualities to become sth. E.g.
