  1. Reading WebQuest Ms. Schult’s 2nd Grade Class

  2. Introduction: Book Genres What is a “genre”? A genre is a kind of literacy work or style. (Examples in the picture) Nonfiction and Fiction are the two main types of Genres. This WebQuest is designed to help you learn more about the different types of genres authors use when writing books!

  3. Tasks • There will be 6 groups of 3. • Each group will do projects on their genre. • In this WebQuest you will: • Create a poster on your genre! • Find books that belong in your genre! • Create a story that is in your genre!

  4. Roles • Reliable Researcher - This student gets to operate the computer and research the groups genre. • The links for the Reliable Researcher are provided in the slides with your genre! • Professional Processer/ Recorder - This student’s job is to write down and think about the important information that the Researcher finds.
