  2. It can be a long and stressful process to apply for an FBI criminal background check. If you are applying to the FBI or a different government entity, be ready to fill out a big amount of paperwork. Some of the information that are asked on these checks could be forgotten by you or it could also become a complete surprise.

  3. The FBI criminal background check is very meticulous and comes with a lot of information. The main source of arrests comes from running your fingerprints through the system. • It will return with the agency that submitted the report, the date of arrest/s, other charges, and the outcome. Minor misdemeanor information is often not included.

This includes birth certificates, marriage certificates, jobs, bankruptcy, places you lived, and a whole lot more. It may also be used for research into your family’s past.
