Background A cheetah is a mammal. It’s name comes from a Hindi word meaning ‘’spotted one’’. They can live up to 10-12 years old.
Characteristics An adult cheetah has yellow or tan fur with solid black spots. It has 4 feet and 2 ears. Cheetahs weigh 80-140 pounds and 32inches tall. Their length 48-56 inches and their tails are 28-32 inches.
DietHabitat Their diet is gazelles, rabbits, birds. They live in Central, Eastern and Southwestern Africa.
Adaptations A cheetah has yellow or tan fur with black spots. Their spots help them hide from their predators. They are camouflaged.
Jaw Dropping Facts The spots cover there whole body but not the throat and the tummy which are white. The cheetah is the fastest mammal. They cannot roar or climb trees.
