  3. Straw activity • Take a huge breath in and out • Take a huge breath in and out using the straw • Take a huge breath in and out using the coffee stirer

  4. Findings: • What did you feel breathing on your own, versus the straw and coffee stirrer. • How does this relate to smoking? • How could this affect your daily life?

  5. Tar will build up over a long period of time in someone’s lungs. This causes the smoker to longer inhale and exhale normally.

  34. Create a Pack! Create a cigarette pack that lists the real effects of smoking and tobacco use. Include at least 3 chemicals found in the pack. Include one short term and one long term risk factor associated with smoking. List an alternative the person could do instead of smoking.
