  3. Third World Status • Rampant diseases that are no longer a threat in First World Countries. • Lack of urban landscapes. • A high percentage of families live in poverty. • Public health care is not easily available.

  4. Relationships between the First and Third • Many programs exist in the First World that aims to help the Third. • Foundation for Global Village Congress • Peace Corps • United Planet

  5. Relationships between the First and Third • There is much criticism towards the First World. • Criticism for not doing all that is possible to help the Third World. • First World taking advantage of the state of the Third World to make profits.

  6. The Future • The First World is continually getting richer. • The Third World follows behind slowly. • In the past, Third World countries moved up in economic status. More are assumed to follow. • A change in power for the First World Countries.
