Founded in 1991, the Inter-American Union of Electoral Authorities (UNIORE) promotes cooperation, exchange of information, electoral observation, and formulation of recommendations. It aims to strengthen electoral systems and provide assistance to electoral authorities. UNIORE conducts observation missions, seminars, publications, and technical assistance to contribute to democracy in the Americas. The challenges include promoting electoral participation, evaluating technological developments, and strengthening the autonomy of electoral bodies.
