  3. Rame Peninsula, Cornwall 5000 people in two villages. Rural area, but close to Plymouth city Our villages

  4. Where We Work • Local villages • Cornwall • Europe • Active partners in most EU countries • We are making Europe work for our area!

  5. Who We Are • A not-for-profit company (“Social enterprise”) • Started 2006, as a language school • 2 staff, 15 volunteers • Close connection to Point Europa – bigger NGO in the area

  6. What we do • Training • English classes • Work experience • Support for community groups • European-level activity

  7. EU Projects • For young people, via “Youth in Action” • Older people (50+) via “Senior Volunteering” • Learning Partnerships • Large scale, Lifelong Learning projects

  8. Learning Partnerships 8 projects completed or currently operating: • Wide range of themes: migrants, childcare, gardening, nutrition, unemployment • Excellent way to engage with our community

  9. Ideas for RPT project • Our interest: practical and fun activities • Sport and games (Suitable for all ages…..) • Costumes – not really in the UK. Art is no problem • We will work with local schools and older people
