Sexual Risk Behaviors • In 2007, 48% of high school students had ever had sexual intercourse • 15% had four or more sex partners during their life. • In 2007, 39% of currently sexually active high school students did not use a condom during last sexual intercourse. • In 2002, 55% of males and 54% of females aged 15-19 had engaged in oral sex with someone of the opposite sex. Social Capital • “Is there someone out there that wants to help me without their own agenda?” • Kids need more skills to be an adult today and have less social capital in their lives. • Kids benefit most when 5 adults (or more) invest social capital into their lives. Parents, church, school, etc.
