Modification Requests timeline • Discussion with ASDIP Transportation Subcommittee - Jan 24th, 2013 • Formal Request to GDOT - Feb 7th, 2013 • GDOT Follow-up meeting – March 20th, 2013 • Received GDOT’s formal response (July 1 , 2013)
GDOT’s Formal Response • Bicycle and Pedestrian Accomodations which includes bike lanes, planting strips, and sidewalks • Cannot commit to the Government St. Realignmnet by T.W. Josey High School due to historical resources • Will continue to review traffic and add medians with mid-block crossings • Accommodate transit with bus shelters
Form-based Code Update Revisions to the Code: • Consultants are assuming the form-based code will become part of the existing zoning ordinance, probably added to Section 25 which contains Special Districts. • The code is being referred to as the Augusta Sustainable District ordinance. • Article 6, containing sustainable regulations has been added by Southface.

Exciting Developments • Because we are under budget and ahead of schedule, HUD has allowed us to use excess funds to develop a “real-world” training program for displaced residents. • We have been asked by the White House to apply for the SC2 program which could benefit the entire City.
