Augusta CVB Mission The Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau is the City’s official destination marketing organization, attracting visitors and fostering destination development to enhance the economic growth of the region. Destination Vision To provide authentic Augusta experiences founded on our international reputation.
VP of Product Development • The principal role of Product Development is identifying and/or creating new products and services to position Augusta as a more desirable destination and/or enhance the visitor experience.
Five Year Milestone • By 2013: Live up to the world’s visual expectations and perceptions of Augusta through beautification and landscaping enhancements.
Beautification Plan & Partners • Established the Garden City Improvement Fund through the Community Foundation of the CSRA • foster economic development in the City of Augusta through community and beautification improvements including but not limited to; landscaping, wayfinding signage, public art and visitor product development.
Beautification Plan & Partners • Private Sector Ambassadors • Individuals • Hospitals • Businesses
Beautification Plan & Partners • City of Augusta • Presented beautification plan to utilize $500,000 set aside in SPLOST for Garden City Beatification Initiative • Created a Beautification Agreement which allows Private Parties to maintain landscaped area through a contract with the City • ACVB/City enter in MOU allowing ACVB to manage any public funds used for installation
Beautification Plan & Partners • Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) – TE Award for Augusta Entryway & Corridor Beautification • $250,000 • Create written landscaping standards for City ROW • Creates Master Design for Gateways and installation at Riverwatch Parkway
Maintenance Plan Business Improvement Districts at each area • Sole purpose is to fund maintenance • Pursuing BID for St. Sebastian Way Area
