  1. Education At age 7, began training as a page in castle of another lord. At 14, began training as a squire, acting as servant to a knight. At 21, became a knight.

  3. War Games Fought in local wars or in tournaments

  4. Code of Chivalry Be loyal, brave & courteous Defend 3 masters – 1) feudal lord 2) God 3) a chosen lady Protect the weak & poor

  5. Castle Life Lived in & protected house of the feudal lord Stone castles designed as fortresses with massive walls & guarded towers

  6. Romantic Love Expected to defend his chosen lady & keep her entertained with love poems & songs
