This joint FTX exercise aims to establish baseline interoperability in HMA and PKO techniques among ASEAN Member States and Plus Countries. Participants will engage in training, discussions, demonstrations, and exercises to enhance cooperation in promoting peace and stability.

BACKGROUND • Joint FTX conduct conceived during ADMM PLUS meeting held in Malaysia in Feb 2015 • FTX themes i.e. Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) and Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) • Co- Chairs (2014-17) • HMA – Vietnam & India • PKO – Cambodia & South Korea • FTX involved participation from 10 ASEAN countries and 08 Plus countries • Highlights our commitment towards establishing peace and stability in the world
AIM To Promote Cooperation in the Field of HMA and PKO amongst the ‘ASEAN Member States’ and ‘Plus Countries’ with the Purpose of “Building Common UnderstandinginEstablishing and Practicing Baseline Interoperability in Execution of Techniques Required to Meet the UN PKO Guidelines in the Field of PKO & Dealing with Explosive Remnants of War”
