Groups: You will be put into different interest groups with different goals for the forest. • Forest Company • Environmental Group • Indigenous Peoples • Tourism Company • Forestry Workers After you have devised your plan, you will submit your map to the government (your teachers), and then argue your case. They will select the winning plan.

  3. Reward: • A reward will be handed out to the team members of the winning proposal • You may want to join forces with other groups and work together to increase your chance of winning. • You could even join forces as an ENTIRE CLASS and win a group prize if you are able to reach a consensus.

  4. Environmental Restrictions (BUT the government can overrule these): • You need to leave 2 blocks of forests near the rivers to prevent run off and erosion from destroying the piranha breeding grounds. • You need to protect wildlife areas; leave at least 10 squares for the jaguars and 2 each for the sloths and monkeys.
