„Eva and Sheila“ part 2 (p.31-39)What Sheila did: • A dress did not suit her • Eva held the dress up -> suited her • Eva was smiling -> Sheila got angry • Sheila went to manager, told him to get rid of her (impertinent). Otherwise she would never buy clothes in the shop again and persuade her mother to close their account
Feelings: Past: • Furious temper: Jealous (very pretty girl, dress suited her) Present: • Shocked, sad, embarrassed, miserably, distressed -> reactions: recognizes her from the photograph with a little cry, gives a half-stifled sob, runs out of the room, becomes hysterically, almost breaks down but controls herself -> wants everyone to tell the truth (especially Gerald)
