What is Charities Fortnight ? Charities Fortnight is our chance to stop and think about our House Charities. We can reflect on what we have done so far this year… We can reflect on what we can do for the rest of the year... All societies and religions in the world recognise the value of helping others.
The Importance of Charity Charity means “generousactions or donationstoaidthepoor, ill, orhelpless”. Despite the problems around us, we are fortunate to live in a country as wealthy as Britain. If we can give a little of our wealth to others, we can make a huge difference. THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK “Charity begins at home, but does not end there”. Thomas Fuller
