Broad Technical Challenge • Flat sensor response in intermediate spectral range (at least 0.2 - 40 Hz, up to 0.04 - 100 Hz) • Ease of emplacement and ability to function in variety of difficult geologic and environmental conditions • Flexibility in application • Small size of total instrument package (with sensor support) • Low sensor self-noise (below USGS New Low Noise Model) • Stable instrument response with calibration • Dynamic Range > 120dB • Linear Response > 60dB • Power Consumption < 100 mW • Ideally Three Orthogonal Components
