Levels of Jobs • Entry level: kinds of jobs many people take when they first enter a career area. • Paraprofessional: has some education beyond high school that trains a person for a certain field. • Professional: Position requires at least a degree from a 2 or 4 year institution. Most people who have professional jobs have advanced degrees such as a Masters.
Characteristics of Being an Entrepreneur • No boss • Make own rules • Set their own schedules • Make own descions

Gaining Work Experience • Internship: a job in which a person works for little or no pay while gaining work experience and receiving supervision. • Job shadowing: observing someone in their career • Service Learning: A project in which students volunteer in their community as a graduation requirement. • Work Based Learning: Programs that offer students the opportunity to combine in school and on the job learning.
