PRODUCT GROUP DEFINITION Tourist Accommodation Service Art. 2 Decision EC/287/2003 of 14 April 2003 “…the provision, for a fee, of sheltered overnight accommodation in appropriately equipped rooms, including at least a bed, offered as a main service to tourists, travellers and lodgers. The provision of overnight sheltered accommodation may include the provision of food services, fitness activities and/or green areas.”
CRITERIA STRUCTURE Criteria objectives: • To limit energy consumption • To limit water consumption • To limit chemicals consumption • To limit waste production

CRITERIA STRUCTURE 47 Optional criteria: Score required Minimum score required for the basic service: 16,5 points 17,5 points: basic service + 1 additional service 18,5 points: basic service + 2 additional service 19,5 points: basic service + 3 additional service
CRITERIA VERIFICATION • Self-declaration from the applicant • Declaration from suppliers or third parts and other support documentation • On site inspections from the Competent Body

POSSIBLE CHANGES IN THE REVISION • Razionalization of criteria • Possible reduction in the number of criteria • Update legislation • Improvement of environmental effectiveness
