Israel’s Future Dangers (23:1-16) Obey the Lord, and He will bless you in the land; disobey Him, and He will judge you & remove you from the land Mt. Sinai, Plains of Moab, Mt. Ebal & Gerizon What the Lord did for Israel (3-4) History since Egypt The Gentile nations were God’s enemies as well as Israel’s The same God who overcame the enemy in the past will help Israel in the future.

Joshua set up the stone, 9th & last memorial as perpetual witness to their agreement Memorials are good as long as you don’t allow them to become the focus of idolatrous worship Burials Joshua was buries in Ephraim At 110 year old Eleazar was buried in Ephraim near Shiloh Bones of Joseph was buried in Shechem where Jacob bought for burial Shechem, an important city of Ephraim & Manasseh, sons of Joseph After Joshua’s death the elders guided the nation (Deut. 6:7)
