  3. GIAA • Geomatics Industry Association of America • Initially formed to gather sales statistics • Added workshops and articles in trade press • Now Technical Committee

  4. Technical Committee (GIAA-TC) • Formed for mfrs to collaborate on • Articles • Workshops • Standards • Specifications • Recommendations (to users on how to operate, store, etc.) • NGS Interaction

  5. Membership • Don’t have to be a member of “big” GIAA to be a member of TC • Talk to me or Clark Mulligan about details

  6. This meeting • Not just presentations • Interaction required! • Question, participate, suggest, collaborate

  7. Follow-up • Discuss more Thursday afternoon • More meetings such as this? when? • Website? • Blog? • Other types of meetings? • Important to keep the momentum up
