Expectations of our teachers… • Communicated in CTE PLC meetings • Started with 2012-2013 year prior to fall semester • Use Elements to create Formative Assessments (FA) • Applied to EACH of the standards in the BluePrints • Set Benchmark of 80% (Class average) for each standard • Must re-test until benchmark accomplished
Different ways our teachers get this done… Samsung Chromebooks Dell Desktops Dell Laptops
All CTE teachers benefit Nursing Fundamentals Drafting Microsoft Masonsry
Data at the end… • Benchmark vs. Actual • Hypothesis: Increase Benchmark to inc. Actual….from 80% benchmark with 88% actual to 85% Benchmark second semester…to ….??? • Goal is 90% per subject area.
Next Steps… • Moving the process to Middle School CTE Teachers and share with Principal as possible process for General Ed areas.
How does this relate to all subject areas. • If this works for CTE… how can you apply it to Math I, Eng. II, Bio, etc. • What are we looking at in our district.
