Summary • Approx. 50% of PM10 was secondary inorganic aerosol • (somewhat less at kerbside sites) • Secondary aerosols dominate PM10 • SO4 /NO3 typically 0.4 - 0.5 • No indication of important LRTP from north-east • However, homogeneous mixing on regional scale • Efficient reduction scenarios need to include gaseous • precursors
