Chapter 12 • In chapter 12, Mr. Fogg is in India riding on an elephant a long a trail in the Vindhia Mountains. Along with Mr. Fogg and Passepartout, Sir Francis Cromarty, the Indian Parsee, Kinouni the elephant, and an Elephant guide went on this part of the journey. In the chapter, they find a young woman who is going to be a sacrifice. Passepartout tries to convince Mr. Foggto help save the lady. The chapter ends in a cliff hanger when Mr. Fogg agrees to help save the girl.
Chapter 13 Summary In chapter 13 Mr. Fogg, Passepartout, Sir Francis Cromarty,& the Indian Parsee continue to try to save the woman who is to become a sacrifice. They have to camp out under a tree to wait for the gates to open so that they can escape and continue around the world.
