Human Impact • Florida has the fastest growing coastal population in the United States, with over a dozen coastal counties expecting growths in their populations exceeding 50% over the next ten years. The estuaries currently show the impacts of human activities within their respective watersheds.

  6. Culture in Estuaries • Estuarine environments are among the most productive on earth, creating more organic matter each year than comparably sized areas of forest, grassland, or agricultural land.

  7. Temperature range Regional temperature typically range between 40F and 75F.

  8. Average Rainfall • Average rainfall of less than 4 inches (10cm). A cooler wet session brings approximately 56 inches.
