EXPECT A READING QUIZ • NEXT CLASS!

  2. Learning those terms • Partner up (wait for instructions – this is ALWAYS don in a way that makes ME happy…muhahahah.) • Look at your word. If you want more information, take a look at the entry in the white and blue books in the back of the room. • Act it out. No, seriously. I need you and your partner to act it out for the class in a way that will help us all to remember that root, prefix, or suffix. You have 5 minutes to prepare.

  4. Before the fun, the basics… • What do we recall about plot? Brainstorm…NOW!

  5. GROUP IT UP! (competition style)

  6. Directions • Read the quotation you have been given in your group. • Determine: • One PREDICTION that you make for the story based on the quotation. • One REASON for that prediction based on the quotation. • One idea for the overall MESSAGE of the story based on the quotation. • One REASON for that message based on the quotation.
