Letting the Spirit Overflow to Others • What does it mean…’When the Spirit of the Lord is upon me’ ? “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me To proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives And recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favour.”

  4. Letting the Spirit Overflow to Others • We bring the oil of Gladness to replace despair • Oaks of Righteousness to display God’s splendour • Priests of the Lord • We will renew and restore • Places long devastated • Ruined cities • Love justice and mercy • Jesus ‘lived out’ God’s love

  5. Letting the Spirit Overflow to Others • So can hold us back ? – Isaiah 6 And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.”
