Mississippi River Power - AGM 2012 2011 Year in Review (continued) • Negotiated a change to the loan agreement with Infrastructure Ontario, which would change the repayments structure from semi-annual, to monthly payments. This will save MRPC $20,000 annually and $580,000 over the life of the loan (30 years). • Board thanked outgoing member – Councillor Dalgity for his outstanding work as a Board Member over the past 5 years, and welcomed new member, Mayor Levi.
Mississippi River Power - AGM 2012 • Revenue Forecast (Projections) • Projections are based on historical flows in Mississippi River at Appleton, from 1919 to present. • In 2011 we saw flows that were well above average for the first half of the year. Unfortunately that was balanced out by below average flows for the second half of the year. • For the year, we were within 2% or less than $50,000 of our projected revenue.
Mississippi River Power - AGM 2012 Climate Change and Watershed Trends • Higher streamflows (September – January) • Lower streamflows (April – September) • Earlier & lower spring freshets • Greater frequency of high intensity rainfalls • Earlier spring break-up
