What is EMA 2? • Erasmus Mundus Action 2 • Higher eduction cooperation and mobility scheme • Funded by the European Commission • Aims to achieve better understanding and mutual enrichment between EU and third countries • Exchange of people, knowledge and skills
What does EUROSA offer? • Erasmus Mundus scholarships • for South African master students, PhD researchers and staff • In a variety of fields of study • To study or do research in one of the nine European partner universities • Introduction to EUROSA on YouTube
Who can apply? Important!Applicants who have lived in Europe for more than 12 months over the past 5 years are not eligible to apply
What is included in the scholarships? • Monthly allowance • Master: 1000 € • PhD: 1500 € • Staff: 2500 € • Insurance coverage (health, accident, travel, third party liability) • Air ticket (up to 2000 €) • Tuition fee (if applicable, > 10 months, up to 3000 €)
