Motivation • The purpose of this draft is to provide additional properties for Lambdas in WSON meshed networks. • Properties may serve to drive control plane behaviors in some typical WSON scenarios: • Wavelengths congestion under network failure. • Restoration • Key enabler for new Service Level Agreement at DWDM layer.

  3. Possible Scenarios • Congestions due to a restoration event: • In the event of single fiber cut, prioritize which wavelengths are to be restored first and last. • In the event of one or multiple fiber cuts coupled with a scenario of a congested fiber link, Lambda PoS will allow high priority lambdas to pass through first. • The same concept could be applicable for recovery and revertive scenarios. • Drive network optimization criteria
