  1. K-2 Learning Center Syracuse Elementary

  2. Hi! I’m Ms. Moulton, your teacher! In this presentation, you will learn some things you need to know about coming to school here!

  3. Most of you will ride the bus to school! An Assistant or the Teacher will meet you at the bus to walk you to our classroom!

  4. Our classroom is Room 26, right across from the Media Center!

  5. The first thing you will do, is go to the coatroom by our class, and hang up your backpack. In a few days, you will have homework. Take your homework bag out of your backpack!

  6. Put your homework bag in the green basket!

  7. Get a book to look at on the rug until the bell rings!

  8. This is the rug where we have our Morning Meeting!

  9. You will learn about school and class rules, how to follow directions, and what to do to earn privileges (fun activities) in our class.

  10. You will learn how to do Math!

  11. You will learn how to read!

  12. You will learn how to tell time!

  13. You will learn how to count money!

  14. When your work is done, you may play with quiet free time items!

  15. The bathrooms are in the coatroom, right next to our classroom!

  16. We have a sink and a drinking fountain in our class!

  17. This is one of the Big Toys on our playground! You will go to recess and play here with your new friends!

  18. You will go to speech once a week!

  19. You will also go to Computer Lab!

  20. Our PE room is next to the lunchroom!

  21. You will go to Art or Music class once a week, too!

  22. We have a beautiful new library!

  23. You can earn play dollars by doing your work and following directions! However, if you don’t follow rules or directions, you will need to give a play dollar back (or lose a dollar)!

  24. If you get upset, if you might hurt yourself or someone else, you may go to the Think Area, where you can sit quietly until you are calm.

  25. Sometimes, you will learn on our iPads! At the end of the day, you may get to play games on the iPad if you have earned that privilege!

  26. If you haven’t had to pay back any play dollars, you could earn time playing on the rug with toys!

  27. On Fridays, you can spend your play dollars to buy toys and items from our class store!

  28. This is Mrs. Warnock. She is an Assistant!

  29. At the end of the day, Mrs. Warnock will walk you out to the bus to go home! We will see you the next school day!

  30. We will have a GREAT YEAR!
