Objectives of GSE • Vocational & Cultural Experience • Promote World Peace & Understanding, One Friendship at a Time • Opportunity to serve as Ambassadors from D7570, their communities and employers. As well as share their experience with their clubs and local communities. • Opportunity to discover Humanitarian Grant Projects

  3. GSE in 2012 - 2013District 3519 Taiwan District 4835 Argentina

  4. AGsWork with your area GSE representative toRECRUIT HOST CLUBS • Need 12 host clubs, usually one in each area. Will not know which team visits which area until after GSE interviews and receiving background information on incoming team members. • Create interesting VOCATIONAL & SIGHTSEEING activities • Schedule programs with your area clubs

  5. AGsWork with your Area GSE representative torecruit host clubs in your area

Hosting: • Teams are in your area 4-6 days • One host family for each incoming team member • Provide private bedroom, breakfast, lunch and supper (teams usually eat out at club meetings, receptions, and while sightseeing) • Provide laundry facilities • Provides transportation to GSE Activities

  7. Area Activities • Teams provide 2-3 Rotary programs in each area. Can be combined into a single area-wide program • Team members have full day of vocational activities related to their particular vocation or interest • Have 1 free day per week to shop, rest, do laundry • Sightseeing – local attractions, businesses, government offices, visit schools

GSE Schedule in 2012 - 2013 Outgoing Schedule • Team leader applications due Sept. 1, 2012 • Team leader interviews Sept. 16, 2012 • Team member applications due Sept. 29, 2012 • Team member interviews Oct. 14, 2012 Outgoing team to D3519 - Taiwan • Depart ROA: Feb. 18, 2013 • Return ROA: Mar. 20, 2013 Outgoing team to D4835 - Argentina • Depart ROA: April 27, 2013 • Return ROA: May 28, 2013 Incoming teams from D3519 and D4835 • March 1 – March 31, 2012
