  2. Implementation: time line • 5/1 Pilot GS/SM U-OLA job posting • 5/14 Reopen typing/word testing, Office 2007; All applicants will need to retest • 5/18 HR Reps Meeting

  3. Implementation: time line • 9/1 BL-OLA retired (access no longer available to departments) • Departments must have completed all hires from BL-OLA job listings

  4. Implementation: time line • 5/20 Notice to applicants re: create new U-OLA account; no data will convert from BL-OLA • 5/22 Job postings in BL-OLA expire 6/11 • 6/4 Only 1-week job posts accepted; other postings will need to wait until 6/12

  5. Implementation: time line • 6/11 Last day applicants can apply in BL-OLA • 6/12 Begin job posts in U-OLA; Applicants must apply in U-OLA • 6/26 Jobs may be posted with typing/word requirements

  6. Implementation: what’s different? Access U-OLA by Roles rather than a department password. Uses CAS authentication. • Department contact will have access to all job listings in department • Hiring Committees will have access to jobs they have been assigned to • Facilitates/emphasis on computer based review of applications rather than printing and copying

  7. Implementation: what’s different? Department Contacts will complete the Job Listing Request form in OLA. • Job listing will be completed and saved in U-OLA as “Requested”. Submitted Jobs will be reviewed by Campus HR

  8. Implementation: what’s different? Service Maintenance application process • only current appointed staff may apply with a paper application • outside applicants (including current hourly) must apply via U-OLA

  9. Implementation: what’s different? Hires for promotions/demotions/transfers from department ‘internal only’ postings must complete an Applicant Account in U-OLA. • They must store their resume in their Applicant Account. • They are not required to ‘apply’ for a job, however they must have created an account, except for Service Maintenance jobs as noted previously.

  10. Implementation: what’s different? Listing cycle • SM, SS, and PA positions posted for one-week only are posted on the current Friday through Thursday cycle • PA positions (except as above) can be listed at any time • All policies for listing and filling positions apply • Posting no longer appear on the web once the department has ‘selected’ an applicant – regardless of the listing cycle dates

  11. Implementation: Campuses • Southeast April 15, 2009 • Northwest May 27, 2009 • Bloomington June 12,2009 • IUPUI June 12, 2009 • South Bend July 27, 2009 • Kokomo July 2009 • East July 2009
